Externally threaded inserts have threads on the outside and inside of the insert. The insert is threaded into a pre-tapped hole or some inserts tap their own threads in a drilled or molded hole, then anchored by various locking element like nylon, etc. Externally threaded inserts often used in plastic, wood or combination material furnitures. We offer both metric and inch standard thread insert and keep in-stock sales of regular specifications, M6, M8, M10 and M12, inch by 1/4, 5/16, 3/8 and 1/2.

Barrel nuts or dowel nuts are usually used with an Allen drive flat head furniture bolts. The common specifications are M6*10*11, M6*10*15, M8*12*20, M8*13*15.

DIN 557 or DIN 562 square nuts are typically used in conjunction with square bolts or commonly used with roofing bolts and other pole line hardware. More options on standard K 460, K462 Square Nuts, ANSI B18.2.2 Square Nuts.

Self clinching nuts are used in sheet metals with pre-drilled holes. By placing them in the proerly sized holes and applying a parallel squeezing force to the head of the nut. The sheet metal surrounding the head cold flows into an undercut thereby making the fastener an integral part of the sheet. A serrated clinching ring prevents the fastener from rotating after installation. We offer both Inch Sizes and Metric Sizes.
